Help with vlan, bridge and internet.

Good morning everyone,

I have an RB4011 and I have configured two bridges, one for IPTV and the other for the internet, so far everything is perfect. I have internet on all ports in addition to IPTV on port 2, my WAN port is ether0 through which my ISP gives me two different VLANs for IPTV and Internet services.

I have tried the following: Add a new bridge called “bridge-iot” to which I create a VLAN, when I connect to the ports of this bridge (ports 7 to 10) I obtain the IP of the DHCP server of the bridge but I cannot have internet access any idea how to configure it? I have deleted all the settings and done it again several times but nothing.

Thank you so much.

1 bridge is enough.

Actually the RB4011 has two chips on it, so it kinda makes sense to split it into two bridges, but if my memory recalls only one of them will have Offload so in the end one bridge is best.

Yes, RB4011, having two switch chips, can run two bridges, both HW offloaded. But: each bridge has to span ethernet ports which are actually connected to same switch chip (i.e. ether1-5 on bridge1 and ether6-10 on bridge2). Snd other mixing will hamper HW offload (because HW offload only works for traffic passing between a pair of switch-connected ports and nothing more).
