Help!!!

Hello All!!!

Ok…here’s the scenario we had Mikrotik v2.9x running onour edge for almost 3 years without a hitch and we still have it running on NUMEROUS routers and devices. We recently decided to upgrade to a Dell r200 with a intel quad port NIC and a SATA raid and replaced MT with Vyatta due to the hyped BGP capabilities. However, I’m starting to regret my decision…I miss MT!!!

My questions are:

  1. Will MT v3+ support the SAS6iR (SATA/SAS Controller) controller?

  2. Will MT v3+ support the Intel PRO 1000PT Quad Port 1GbE NIC, PCIe-4? I had to compile the igb module manually in Vyatta to get it to work…

  3. Is BGP in v3+ working properly? The eBGP implementation in Vyatta works flawlessly BUT I’m seeing some oddities with reboots when making a change to the config.

Please (Normis!!!) give me a heads up because I miss my MT!!!

I know the quad port intel will work. I know a router with 2 of them in it.
