hEX mode button/switch next to usb port

What is the purpose of the mode button/switch next to the USB port as seen on this image. Could not find an answer searching.

I was wondering the same thing and checked with Mikrotik support. “RB750Gr3 Mode button currently does nothing, it is added for future use. There is no specific functionality decided yet.”
