I just purchased a hEX POE and I’m struggling to make POE output work. I’m powering it with 48V over the dedicated power jack.
The documentation says I should be seeing red leds on ports that have POE enabled - all switch port leds are off or green.
The documentation also mentions that the CLI has a few settings to configure POE, I tried them, but failed:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet poe set numbers=ether4 poe-voltage=auto
no such item
The same is accepted if I omit ‘poe’ from the path:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet set poe-voltage=auto numbers=ether4
[admin@MikroTik] >
Now if I dump the configuration:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet export

set [ find default-name=ether4 ] bandwidth=1M/1M
- it’s not there.
I tried webfig also, but I can’t see any POE settings there either.
What could be the issue? Did I get a defective device?
