hEX RB750Gr2 grounding

Hi all,

I have a hEX RB750Gr2 router, with a ethernet cable that runs on the outside of the house to another room (runs along a wall).
This cable is rated for outside use, Cat.5e, shielded.
I connected the grounding wire of the cable to the RJ45 connector on router side.

My question is, do I need to ground the router also?

Many thanks,

No idea ? :frowning:

If cable goes outside, it should be grounded, directly or indirectly. GR2 is not grounded on it’s own, and given it’s enclosure of plastic, not sure you can.
Perhaps you should ground cable directly?

You’re right , thanks!
