Hex S (2025) not working with SFP

Hey all. Been working on my first proper home network build-out, and I've been running into an issue with SFP on the Hex S.

In short, I've been attempting to connect a Netgear CM3000 via Ethernet to the Hex S via SFP (FS part number SFP-2.5G-T), but it persistently doesn't work. Searching up the issue, found the solutions of turning off Auto-Negotiation and setting a specific speed. Did that, still didn't work.

Updated the firmware to 7.24.1 today, restarted the router without the SFP module in, then shut off, plugged the module back in, then turned on the router again. Still no dice. Also tried disabling the Ether1 port, but issue persisted.

Haven't put in a ticket with support on this yet, in case there was any other troubleshooting suggestions here.

What have you set the speed to manually? It should be 2.5G base-X, regardless of what rate is desired or available on the copper side.

Why 7.24.1? There are some fixes in newer versions. Also, try hot-plugging the module.

Are you able to try the module in another device?

I had the speed set to 2.5G Base-T, since that's what the SFP adapter supported. Tried it again with Base-X and a hot-plug. Got movement on the Tx and Rx graphs, but the WiFi AP connected to the PoE Out showed no Internet while the adapter was in (with the copper from the network plugged into said adapter).

I also updated to 7.24.4 and restarted the router earlier today.

I might be able to try it in a friend's Hex S. Outside of that, no dice.
