When i try to connect with Winbox to Mikrotik AP i get messege
“RouterOS WinBox error Could not Connect to 0004759d5d38 (port 20561) - timed out!”
Mikrotik 2.8.28, winxp, i can connect with telnet, from another winxp client i can connect to winbox, i tried all reinstallation of sistem, firewall, config and nothing…problem is the same.

from my test when you want to access throw mac address dont assigne ip address for your machine

I have had the same problem on one PC but if I move to another PC it works fine. I have found the problem.
I have also had a problem where I can get in but the RB runs so slow, It can take 15 minutes to set the IP. But then things run fine.
If you have two Nic’s disable the one not connected to MT
v2.8.x does not support “mac-winbox”.
