Is it possible to hide the username in the terminal?

No, that is not possible in RouterOS.
Mikrotik programmers probably could do it in some future software update.
But, I have to ask, why would you need to hide it anyway?
Can you explain what you really want to achieve by hiding it?
If someone can see or record your computer screen or telnet/ssh terminal then you have much bigger security issues than someone getting your username.
