High CPU load due to "www" process

Hi,

during past few hours I have high CPU load by “www” process on my RB2011UiAS router. Total CPU load is close to 100%. I disabled both IP services - www and www-ssl, upgraded to the latest RouterOS release but nothing have changed.

What can cause this problem?

anything interesting in the log? Look for more log topics to turn on like debug.

A factory reset may remove any corrupt config settings causing the issue.

Thank you for reply. Nothing special in the log file. It still have high load by www process which I wouldn’t expect to see at all because both ip service - www and www-ssl - are disabled. But it is not too high now.

Probably I will try factory reset later…

Are you using hotspot service?

Yes, I do!

But there is no visible corelation in the amount of traffic or number of users connected to the hotspot and CPU load.

Are you using ssl hotspot? If so its just the cpu load in preparing the encryption. The only way to solve is to increase cpu with better hardware or separate the wireless and hotspt with a different router. For example you can use like rb450g or a wired router for the hotspot service and a separate wireless ap.

You are right! Recently we added some ssl support in hotspot. Thank you for your help in localization of the problem!
