Home network connection

Hello!
I am having a problem and since i’m a complete noob on this i might need your help.
This is my network topology http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/84/networkb.jpg/

I want to connect My lan from the office at home (transfer my internet connection)
On the office i have a UBNT nanostation M5 and at home i have set up a link with a RB411.
So far so good, the link works fine and i created one bridge on the RB411 and two ports one for wlan and one for eth.
But i’m stuck there, what else needs to be done to connect?
Do i need any firewall rules etc?

What kind of settings do i need to do on the RB433 to have a wireless at home?

Best Regards

Are you using wds?

If you need to have separate network in office and home, you should set one of wireless device in Access point mode and the other in station. Then you need to add some routes to introduce your Default Gateway.

If you want to have the same network in both side(Bridge), you need to make WDS.

In this situation, I prefer to set RB411 to bridge and NSM5 in station WDS to make a transparent bridge.

Thank you guys for replying.

Right now the UBNT is set as an AP and the RB411 as a station. Maybe i can try to add a GW.

My internet side is the UBNT, what do i use as a gateway? The IP of the UBNT or my actual gateway?

Thank yoy very much

If you set network mode in Nano M5 to bridge, Your actual gateway!
If set to router, it’s need more configuration. but the bridge is easier.

Yeap, it seems bridge is easier.
I need to set up the RB433 as a 2,4G AP for the home.
I will try the whole setup in a few moments and tell you about it.
I am checking the nanostation remotely via teamviewer and a PC on the office and it doesn’t seem to have a bridge mode, only AP-AP WDS, station - station WDS. So i’m working on it.
Thank you once again!

I finally did it.

I set up the RB411 as an AP Bridge and the nanostation as a Station and now i am connected fine.
I’ll setup the RB433 as an AP for the inside of the building.
The 433 would be better if it was used as a link i believe but i have no space on my panel enclosure, maybe at a later time.
Thank you very much guys.

Different problem now.
It seems that i cannot get an automatic IP from 192.168.1.1
I can connect through the RB433 only by a static IP.
Am i missing something?

nano station has a wireless tab and a network tab too. you just saw wireless tab.
go to network tab and you will see it can set to : Router mode and Bridge mode.
in newer firmware : Bridge, Router and SOHO Router

It seems that i cannot get an automatic IP from 192.168.1.1

Because you set RB411 to ap bridge.
for a fully transparent Bridge, you must :

On RB411:
wireless mode: bridge
wds mode: dynamic
wds default bridge: bridge1 ------>> create a bridge and add wlan1 and ether1 to it.

On Nano M5:
wireless mode: station WDS
network mode: Bridge

That is the configuration that I have done before.

Thank you once again sadeghrafie.
Everything seems to be working correctly now.
I also connected another ptp link on my warehouse, now i am thinking about different subnets and routing but for now it works so i wont touch it.
