I have a MIKROTIK E60iUGS HEX S L ROUTER and a MikroTik cAP ax. Can I use this setup as it is?
cAP ax comes preconfigured as a router so you need to reconfigure it as a plain AP.
That means you need to reset configuration so there is no default configuration, add your user with a new password, create new bridge interface and add all interfaces to it, create dhcp client on the bridge and that’s pretty much it.
You can create interface list so you can only access AP via ethernet interface. Also leave one ethernet interface off bridge, assign it a static IP and add it to the same interface list you will use to access your device.
HEX S can be on default configuration if you don’t need VLANs.
I have already purchased the router, but not the AP yet. So if you have any suggestions about the AP, they are welcome. I have a 1000M connection. Thank you.

You can use those devices without a problem.
You can use pretty much any router and AP if you want.
For eg. wAP ax is a great AP but it’s more directional, but I have those in our office and on 1000/500 service i got 909/423 Mbps (after speedtest on wireless network i got 942/467 Mbps on wired network)
