We are implementing a chrome cast solution called Sonifi Staycast at a few of our properties. The problem I am having is with the hotspot.
If I put the cleint in pass through mode then the sonfi server sees there arp request with the correct mac address of the device.
If I have the device login through the hotspot then the sonifi server see the arp request of the cleint IP with the mac address of the hotspot bridge.
Why is the mac address changing in the arp request after login through the hotspot?
Doing a little more research it is called arp-nat or L2.5 bridging. Is there a way to disable this on a hotspot? Cnay find top much on it
