hostname problem

Hi all…


any suggestion about make ping or search files from one computer to other by hostname? this is the scenario:


pc Frank ---------mikrotik bridge---------pc John = don’t

pc Frank ---------simple switch---------pc John = done


I modified the host file in the computers… all good but if the network has 200 pc

I assume simple bridge should work fine for the same configuration (when two interfaces are bridged, where users are connected).
Do you get it to work with IP address?
