ok i have been messing around with hotspot now that i have had a lilbit more experience with mikrotik.
I have got it all set up and running,
when i click on internet explorere ir redirects me to the hotspot login page. but then it does not load any webpage?
it says checking proxy settings in bottom right and then after some time it says “page cannto be displayed” but the url and all that is right?
what could the problem be?
Disable the hotspot. Can you surf the internet with the hotspot disabled?

then when i enable the hotspot again, and refrsh the webpage it directs me to:
http://hot/login?dst=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.mikrotik.com%2Findex.php
but gives me the page cannot be found screen.

ok i found my problem.
I was putting a DNS name in when i dont have like a registered dns, i thought it was just the name you wanted to type in ie and it would take you to the hotspot.
Ok my next problem is when i login and click ok, it just says loading, and nothing happens, but if i open annother tab the networks. So it abviously is unlocking me. its jsut not saying like succsesfully loged in or some thing like that? is it meant to?
Is it waiting for you to allow popups for that site or something like that? Is there a warning under the address bar about blocking popups?

Mine is

I have got my hot spot up and working.
Seems to work well.
Now on the forum i allways see people talking about tickets? And also i was up in zambia and they had a hot spot there.
U paid ur cash and got a code (the username) and then u got 20mb/ 20min
once that code was finnished you had to go get annother one.
What is the easiest way to “create tickests” that are tempory and will only be used once. So like a pay as you go set up?
Dose the teller have to loginto winbox and create a new user each time? or is there some code where it gives u a nice WEB GUI where you login as admin and then you can create new tempaty tickets?
