Hotspot 2.9 and public IPs to clients

Hi,

Because I cannot work hotspot of an interface together with a bridge but make it independent to the bridge, for example to have a bridge between ether1 and ether2 but that hotspot works single in ether2 since it makes version 2.8?

I can´t upgrade my MT 2.8 to 2.9 because this problem…
I have bridged Ether1 with a Public IP and Ether2 with a Private IP and need to lease to my clients privates and publics IPs, but when i put the hotspot running in other than the bridge interface the server hotspot don´t work and is showed in red, and if i select the bridge interface, in Hosts list appears my clients and all the publics IPs incoming to the router, like MSN, yahoo, etc etc… exist a solution for this?

Alessio,
I think is wrong to set the hotspot interface bridged with wan interface.
may be I have not understood but usually I set the hotspot interface with the rule that black all communication except hotspot communication.

I was solved my problem, separing ip public users out of hotspot…

I have set proxy-arp on th WAN interface.
Also I have assign pptp users (but you can also try with hotspot users) the public IP assigned by my provider.
for customers without public ip I have used the NAT rules.

I am trying to bridge public Ip’s to hotspot users in my network, for that I have bridged public and private interface and I have created the hotspot over that bridge then I have created a pool with public IP’s assigned to the hotspot and I have enabled proxy-arp in the bridge interface.

But it doesn’t run, can you explain me the best way for doing this?

Where I am wrong?
