HotSpot and Multiple Subnets

I have a network built with legacy equipment that I need to transition to a Mikrotik Access Controller on. It is currently running with a Colubris 5200.

The Colubris has two IP address assignments… One is for customers and runs DHCP. The other is s different subnet that the various pieces of equipment on the network connect to for management. These two subnets run on the same physical network, with no logical separation besides the subnetting (no VLANs, etc.)

The Colubris successfully runs a HotSpot Splash Page on the customer subnet. An IpSec tunnel allows the devices in the management subnet to route off the network for management and monitoring, but not out to the Internet. Also, for on-site maintenance, we can statically assign ourselves an IP in the management subnet and then access all equipment on site, but with no internet access.

I recently tried to run a Mikrotik-based Hotspot on the network. I assigned multiple IPs to the interface (Also tried separate virtual interfaces, or separate physical interfaces plugged into a switch) and activated the HotSpot on one. The HotSpot keeps blocking my attempts to access the equipment though… Even on the local network, statically assigned into the proper subnet, nomatter what device IP I enter it somehow sends me to the splash page!!!

How can I overcome this? Due to the size of the network, readdressing or VLAN implementations are not a practical solution in the short run.

Any ideas??
