It appears that existing (manually entered simple queues) are ignored by the hotspot.
Can someone confirm this behavior?
My hotspot doesn’t do NAT. The cpes use fixed private IPs and these IPs are the target for
the simple queues.
How do I enable queues for the hotspot? My plan was to eventually use the radius Mikrotik-Rate-Limit
attribute.
I use “/ip hotspot user profile” to set the rate limit for each user group. The user profile is the same as Mikrotik-Group. You can use a RADIUS server to set the rate limit for individual users, but I found setting Mikrotik-Group with a radius server does fine for me.
Ok, understood. Do you know one way or the other if a manually entered queue is bypassed?
What we see is the queue but there is no traffic on it but in the hotspot the same user (device) is
active with no limit.
