HOTSPOT AND REPEATER

I have a hotspot which runs fine and then i setup a repeater for the hotspot.signal for hotspot is -69.but
the problem is that the repeater only connects to the Hotspot at 11Mbps-SP/11 0r 2Mbps-SP.
and then when i connect to the repeater with my laptop its the same 11Mbps or 2Mbps.on the main hotspot laptop connect
on 54Mbps

is it meant that the repeater is suppose to connect at 11Mbps or it can connect at 54Mbps?

It is normally a better idea to connect your repeater via ethernet cable or a separate radio. Don’t forget wireless is only half duplex.
