On this link you will see quick skech of network configuration.
As you can see, I’ve got an Hotspot port on my RB, wich is connected to Switch, and in switch there will be devices that needs to work with hotspot.
But I’ve encountered an problem at some part of configuration:
I’ve suceed to make that when someone connectes to an RB with AP for hotspot.
Guests connectes, get’s IP from DHCP, when try internet, he got redirect to hotspot login page, he loggs, and succeed to get on internet.
I tried by putting TP-LINK WA701ND in Universal Repeator mod, and connected to hotspot AP.
Tried to connect on it - suceed
Get IP from DHCP - suceed
When enter google.com redirect to hotspot - problem - When he needs to redirect me, my address bar changes to http://10.8.0.1/login/blablalbalblalbalbla but it doesnt load the page.
As soon as I turn off that TP-Link my laptop connects to that RB with AP, and suceeds to load the page.
Hi.
I have almost the same net with the same problem. Something I see is if I turn off the hotspot, clients that are connected to the “AP repeater” can surf. At the moment that turn on again, client don´t reach internet.
AP repeater all the time give a IP number from the DHCP of the MK.
I think that is a problem with the MAC address.
Could you solve the problem?
Thank for your help.
See ya.
Ap should have all interfaces in bridge and the ip address should be for that bridge. Then only one default route should point to main router within the same subnet. And it should work. I have the same at one place…
