Hotspot and VPN

Hi,
I realized, that users connecting internet through hotspot are not able to connect to their home VPN. When connecting them through IP binding, it works fine.
Any suggestions?
Ivan

Ivan,
user should be authorized in HotSpot before he/she can send any packets.

So VPN ist always possible for HotSPot users?
They just have to open a browser, login and AFTER THAT open their VPN-Connection-Tool?

I’m asking cause in the last time there are more and more users annoyig me,
because they cant establish an VPN-connection to their company, etc.

Philipp

Yes, VPN should be possible after user is authenticated in HotSpot.
However make sure that their used VPN traffic can go trough the router, e.g. if it PPTP protocol traffic and NAT is used on HotSpot , then pptp and gre helpers should be enabled at 'ip firewall service-port, L2TP traffic should work without any problems, IPSec does not work over NAT router with 2.9 (IPSec encrypted traffic directly from client).
