I am looking for a way for my users to connect to the internet without admin assistance. I would like users to be able to self provision an account and pay with credit card or PayPal, then get online. Does anyone have know of any solutions that work like this and hopefully work with MT so I can get the web caching and P2P filtering of the MT?
MikroTik RouterOS provides with User Manager. User Manager is RADIUS based management system, which can be used for HotSpot users, it supports sign-up and Paypal,
More information about it, you may find here, http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Manager
Thanks for the response. I’ve read the User Manager wiki and it was a little confusing and I didn’t see how a user could create their own account. Was there recent changes (after 3.0) in that regard?
I will read through it again and see if I can figure it out. The biggest issue I think is understanding user/subscriber/customers.
Maybe I will post some questions if I can make them specific.
It’s possible with sign-up, when user creates account by itself.
There is no free signup, only payment signup when user transfers amount of money by Paypal, login/password is created which could be used for specific time.
