Hotspot Certificates while Upgrading from 5.x to 6.x

Hi there,

i have a hotspot Setup running on 5.26 w/ a RB750GL, now we want to “upgrade” to an 2011RM which Comes with 6.x.

After moving the Config over and Reimport all Looks good, however, the certificates are not working (as expected).

importing the certificates just doesnt work. they are shown on the 2011, but without the private key. and a Reimport of the private
key just doesnt work (0 imported).

same files - on routeros 5.x - work like a charm when importing. now i wonder how can i move my certs over. i have
the certificate files (incl. private key) here and a second backup router with 5.26 which is a 1:1 copy of the production
one.

please help, i tried around for hours now, searched Google and the Forum and found something about the Import Problem
of private keys, but - ya… i cant get it to work.

Since it took the whole Weekend to release my Topic… i was able to get it working, however, i think the solution cant be final:

first i downgraded to 5.26 and imported the keys, then i used “decrypt” and then i upgraded to 6.7. that was the only way
i found for keeping the private key.

one day the certificate will expire. i hope until then there is a way to Import the certificates with an easier way.
