Hotspot compatibilty with all clients

It seems some clients on our hotspot systems have trouble picking up the SSID of the AP. I woul like to increase the number of beacons to try and improve compatibility with all potential clients.

Once the clients get on they are ok, but they seem to have trouble picking up the beacons I think.

This case it is campground so I have no idea who the clients are and what they are using, but the feedback is pretty common.

“my buddy has no problem connecting but I am sitting next to him and I have to press the scan button like 20 times to pick up the ap”

or

" I can pickup one ssid, but not the other" (one of the ssids is a Virtual one, they are both on the same ap)

Not too much details, what kind of device is used, what do you see in the router logs ?

Nothing in the logs, RB112 APs. SR2 Cards.

The APs are just bridged over to the hotspot controller.

The clients use all sorts of hardware. This is an unattended hotspot so I have no reliable way to know.
