Hotspot - connection interupted when forwarding to ssl login

Hi

Im seeing a strange problem from around 5.9 , although more noticable in 5.11/5.512

I have my hotspot login page changed to send users to our web portal on a ssl cert, using a standard redirect.

The website is in the walled garden

More often than not now, im getting ‘the connection was interrupted’ from the web-browser, however visiting the non ssl version of the site works. Has anyone else seen such behaviour?

Aha!

Its because the webgif and CLI don’t always match - webfig was showing me the the walled garden settings, but CLI showed they werent there. Added them from CLI and now working.

See http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/webfig-and-cli-dont-match-5-12/53843/1

Im still getting this .

Set up a clean unit as hotspot, redirect to an HTTPS: for login, and i get the error ‘The Connection was Interrupted’. Can’t work it out - the non https: site works, but redirection to the SSL fails. Ive normally upgraded the firmware and its started working, but im now on 5.13 and have nowhere further to go.

any ideas?

I’ve seen this problem before … You will have to add the ip address and domain on order for it to work … Why? ask Mikrotik support … Probably another bug !!!

Thank you, will try that.
