I have several CCR series hotspot routers with single FreeRadius. I configured MAC-cookie on all of my router. Customer can connect using MAC-cookie if he is reconnecting to the same router. But when he tries to connect different router, router redirects to login page. Is it possible than MAC-cookie saved on FreeRadius and all of routers check cookie from the Radius server? Then customer can connect to newly visited router without login?
Searched this and found nothing. Please share your experience.
Do you have several free Radius(s) or just having one and other CCRs are using that?
I didn’t use MAC cookies very much, because it’s not good idea in our network, so no experience.
But I think if the cookies are saved in router it self (not free Radius) so you would not be able to do that. otherwise If cookies saved on free Radius it self so in this way it’s possible.
I have single FreeRadius and I believe MAC-cookie can be saved on FreeRadius. But when I do testing I can`t make it work. If someone has experience on that, please share.
