Dear All,
Greeting

I have a question about Hotspot cookies

I want to set the cookies time to delete for 1 day just for the trail users NOT FOR REGULAR USERS?
is that possible to do depending on the user for the trail user that begins with ( T- )MAC

could you help me with this problem.

Adjust it in the trial user’s profile.

Setting in their profile apply only to them. Other users would be using a different profile where the session timeout would be different… Trial users are using a different profile from everyone else, right?

they are all on the same profile for regular users and trail .

Well, make a separate profile then. You can use the “copy” command to make sure everything is initially the same.

OK for the other profile
but how would i the server know that they on the other profile? for the trail users?

In the server profile, you have a setting called “trial user profile”. Switch it to that other profile.

I just checked the Hotspot service could be active on one profile only??
and it should use 1 user profile ?

i couldn’t make two profiles one for the service and one for the trail ???

The “profile” setting in “Servers” refers to the “hotspot server profile”, not “user profile”.

Individual users can have any user profile (out of unlimited profiles). When you create a hotspot user, you specify the hotspot server they can login from, as well as their user profile.

Trial users can be of only one user profile though. You can’t have several kinds of trials, but just one kind of trial, and unlimited “normal” user profiles.

That’s Right but I’m using Radius manager for user authentication.

could we do it on scripting ?
like delete the cookies just for the trail user ??? every day>???

With User Manager, you need to add “group-name” which is the name of a hotspot profile, or alternatively, specify everything in RADIUS, at which point the router will use the default profile for any unspecified values, but use the rest from RADIUS.

like delete the cookies just for the trail user ??? every day>???

That’s what the “Trial uptime reset” setting is for.

the new add
now we can choose a profile just for trail users
