Hotspot DHCP V.S. DHCP

hi there!

what is diffrent between Hotspot DHCP and the IP>DHCP Server ?
when you are setting up hotspot on one of the router interface(E.g. Ether 2) while it has already been a dhcp server, so why you need to use dhcp config during hotspot setup ?
(hotspot on Ether2, by the way)

and i tried it and saw that before a client log on hotspot, it already takes IP from DHCP. and after i log in hotspot no changes in IP address accured .(even after disabling and enabling the client NIC)

config on mikrotik :
IP> DHCP Server on Ether 2 : 172.16.10.100-172.16.10.200
hotspot DHCP CONFIG on Ether2 : 172.16.10.50-172.16.10.90

could you please explain the difference between these two dhcp ?

There is not difference… The Hotspot setup helps you make the important configurations easily… This is why it has a step with a DHCP setup.
So, do not configure a DHCP manually, let the Hotspot setup do it for you…
Or you can ofcorse make all the hotspot configurations manually and do not use the Hotspot setup at all…
