Okay I know I have seen this somewhere. And I have been searching for over an hour and can’t find the stupid option im looking for.
Have hotspot setup and rocking right now. We are using mac-authentication and it is working well.
Only problem is that when a person opens up a browser it shows the login page, then a second window pops up and says something about a countdown timer.
How do I get rid of those two things from doing that? I just want to person to head straight to the web and not get anything like that telling them its logging them into the system
I saw this option somewhere to turn off the timer part and have it autologin without it. But i can’t even find that now in my digging.
My second hotspot question is this. If someone just opens up their email and are not logged into the hotspot already, using mac-auth will it log them in without having to open a browser?
NOTE: I don’t care about anything else besides hotspot. So don’t suggest pppoe and etc. Won’t answer my questions one bit!
Yeah I already know where the hotspot link is at and the information on that page.
My question still has not been answered though.
Maybe pointing it out in the manual to me?
I already have read that thing about 20 times and still don’t see it anywhere.
My goal is to make it invisible to the users. I don’t want them to see anything at all.
Also if they are using something else besides http, I don’t want them to be forced to login using http. If the hotspot see’s traffic coming from that mac address I want them to be able to login automagicaly.
The hotspot is already setup and running. What I am wanting to do is get rid of the webpages that pop up telling them they are now logged in.
Even if the system is setup to use mac address only it still pops up a webpage telling them it is logging them into the site.
I did just change one of the settings on the status autorefresh to 0…so maybe that will do it. But I won’t know until later when im out in that area we are testing this hotspot method on.
I seem to remember having problems with MAC authorization when I set up the user via winbox, but it worked when I used the command line, don’t know why.
