I have set up a hotspot with usermanager and radius on the same mikrotik router. Everything works well with usernames and passwords.
Now my client want people to have 30 minutes free internet - no logging in. So as soon as they connect to the wifi the internet works without having to go through a login page. Then after 30 minutes, if they carry on, the login page will display and they will have to log in.
How would I go about doing something like this?

menu IP - HOTSPOT - Server Profile
go to tab Login, check Trial and play around on Trial parameters

Is there anyway to limit data rather than time?

You don’t need to create a trial user. as soon as you enable trial a link appears close to the login box. u can also create a profile for users that would login via trial link and how long they have to wait before they can login again. trial users are identified my their mac addresses
