Anyone can help how can i setup mikrotik as hotspot gateway, what kind of interface do i need or just two ethernet cards only. Any help would be appreciate. Thank you
yes,
you can use 2 nic ethernet cards enough, than call one as public interface and other one as local interface, also setup with hotspot wizard follow screen report and put hotspot server on local interface

so u mean i need another hotspot server integrated with mikrotik os? i did look an example on wiki on setuping hotspot gateway but unsuccessful. It seems like i do need minipci/pci wireless card on mikrotik os.
you need one RouterOS machine with at least two ports (one for client network, other for internet connection to ISP). configure RouterOS so that insternet works, and then in Winbox go to the Hotspot section and click on SETUP. that’s all

I have read all the documentation of userman and seems like i’m going to try it. First of all, i just wanna ask u how can i install, as currently i’m using Mikrotik OS on DOM, is it possible to install it inside my DOM or do i need another harddisk. Currently i’m using DOM as my primary Mikrotik OS and another harddisk for running my web proxy on Mikrotik OS.

Can;t install the package of userman as my mikrotik os version on my DOM is 2.9.20 and the current version of userman is 2.9.43.. is it possible for me to search the same version with my mikrotik, if so where to download…

read this you have same problem with other person at here: can not install user-manager-2.9.43

yes, you have to upgrade to 2.9.43
upgrading is free and easy, no reason to not do it
i did check on my license..

wondering whether is it still possible for me to upgrade, as currently i’m using Disk On Module, i afraid after i upgrading my DOM won’t work anymore.
Any recommendation??

use Netinstall to do it. There are no more time limits for upgrading, netinstall will take care of it. make sure you have a backup anyway
