Hotspot: Get file through ftp and execute it's commands

Hi wizards, i couldn’t find the ressources in the manual.
The hotspot should cron a ftp get every day and get a file (username/PW). This file should than be executed (hence change Passwords).
Couldn’t find a ftp client on the hotspot - any chance ? anyone

There is no ftp client in RouterOS.
Regarding the idea of changing passwords, better use RADIUS for such things.

There is no ftp client in MT, but per this thread: http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/feature-request-ftp-client/3658/1 I hope it will be there someday. An FTP client would be MOST useful for MANY things.

and why can’t the server just connect to the router and do what it please?

It can be done that way. I just think that a simple ftp client would be very useful on the Mikrotik side. You may disagree, and that is ok, but I’d like to see this on the MT.
