Hi there
We are experiencing an issue with a camping with a hotspot on a Mikrotik.
the camping has a single wired AP, and that one is working ok.
On the other hand it has a set of wireless bridged nanostations (ubiquity)
the clients connected to those a bizarre behaviour on the hotspot application.
The only dhcp server on the network is the mikrotik, on that layer everithink is working fine
we have ips leased correctly , and mapped to MACS of the cellphones and laptops.
But on the hotspot layer we have a set of host (ip >> hotspot >>host) we get a list of those ips mapped to just 5 macs, corresponding to the nanostationn’s MACS.
In other words, the clients connected to one nanostation AP get its mac from the point of view of the mikrotiks hotspot even thou on the lease list everything is ok.
the hotspot login is normal, and the sessions are managed correctly, per ip, and every client get its one, even thou they are “sharing” a MAC from the hotspot’s point of view.
The problem its that on my hotspot page i need to get the actual ip, right i know im with hundreds of sessions comming from just 5 macs.
We have this kind of hotspot on 10 different campings and everything is just ok, the only difference is that, in this particular cas, have the wireless bridged AP’S
All the APS have static ip addreses, and none of them are leased to clients, they are not on the pool
i attacht an screenshot showing the hotspot>>host VS the actual leases, please note that all of the have the D flag, and all of them issued the ip to the mikrotik.
