HOTSPOT ISSUE

Hi,
We have configured a HOTSPOT. It allote a IP from DHCP to the user.

Network is 192.168.1.1/24, But Now a Laptop with a static IP 192.168.192.4 is got connected with it and it is getting the login page.and after putting ID & PED it is enjoying surfing I know that the HOTSPOT is giving a IP after authorizition.

Why is Happens.

I want that No body can connect with static IP and if connects that the login page should NOT be there if there is fixed IP or some different IP.

this is called Universal client "feature on hotspot. any ip address with valid combination of dns can connect to hotspot and will be given the login page.

it is a feature on hotspot. I look at it as a feature at least. we use it for advertising. works well

You have to disable universal client feature of hotspot by setting the “address-pool” to none in your hotspot server

To disable universal client follow the previous suggestions,
‘ip hotspot set <hotspot_server> address-pool=none’.
