Hotspot login redirection sometimes not working on clients - dns cache

We are running a few Mikrotik Hotspots in Hotels, and on some Devices the Clients are not redirected to the Login Page,
instead they get the Browser default Message of a Timeout, or that Internet is not available.

It seems that it is a DNS Cache Problem on the client device, as if I type in a new Domain which isn’t in the Client-Device Dns Cache,
the redirection to the Login Page works.

Is there any Workaround to tell the Client to not use their dns cache?

Are you sure it’s a DNS issue not clients trying to access https sites..? What’s the exact message you see on the client devices.

Hi,

thanks for the Tip. Just tried it on a Tablet, and yes, it seems that it is a Problem with https instead of a Client DNS Problem.
Is there a Solution for Mikrotik?

thanks,
Mario
