Set the APs up to bridge the radio into their wired port. At that point all wireless clients (and all wired clients) are all on the same network, and use the Hotspot router as their gateway.
Depending on the AP make and model they may support VLANs, in which point you could feed two VLANs for each AP - one to bridge radio clients into for Hotspot access, and the other one for management.
Hi Fewi and tanks for your fast answer…
I think that your configuration will work also on a scenario like this:
2.4 Ghz AP → 5Ghz Bridge Slave → 5Ghz Bridge Master-> Hotspot router
What you think about it?
As long as everyone ends up on the same broadcast domain it’ll work fine.
Yes, I will use a single broadcast domain!
Thank you!
I forget one thing..I need another information…
If I use the central router as an hotspot, it will be also the default gateway for all wifi clients. So, each client will open browser and reach hotspot login page automatically (as they try to reach any URL). Is it correct?
Yes. That is exactly how it will work.
Thank you, you are really kind!
I will post my project as soon as possibile. I want to use custom registration form, use remote syslog, daloRADIUS and other couple things. I will share it with this community!
