I`m trying to do a hotspot on my lan interface not the wlan and it does not works, it does not redirects me to the hotspot login page, but instead, when I try to do it on my wlan it works perfectly. Is there any way I could make it work? Is that a bug?
My Mikrotik version is 3.10 and also tried on 3.11..
I did it with a new Mikrotik, the first thing that I’m doing is going to IP>Hotspot and use the wizard and nothing happens, then I do the same with the WiFi interface and works perfectly… It did work on version 2.9 or 3.0, but now I’m in need of it and I cannot get it to work.
It should work perfrectly on any ros version. I’m currently connected to a lan hotspot on version 3.11
There’s most likely something gone wrong in the config.
Confirm that you’ve rightly configured an ip for the relevant ether port.
As previously mentioned, check you firewall nat entries and make sure there’s nothing there that belongs to the ip address series you just gave the ether.
If you’re using dhcp, make sure to run the setup wizard.
At this point check that the client connected to the ether is set to acquire ip automatically; or if you are not using dhcp make sure you have set the correct ip, subnet, gateway and dns on the client computer.
Run the hotspot wizard again, making sure previous redundant ones are deleted.
When done with all the setup, recheck the ether ip, the route, the firewall nat entry etc to be sure.
