Hotspot real ip problem

Hi everyone,

I have a pppoe server and my users have an internal ip when they plug their cable to ethernet socket (like 192.168.x.x but without internet) and they have external ip with pppoe connection like (88.xxx.xxx.xxx). PPPoe system has mac address authentication and my users have to send me their mac addresses to get able to connect to internet via pppoe. I serve about 1200 people and I made a website to make them able to send their mac address to me. The system is working perfectly but most of my users have some problems with the system.

1- They cant reach to my website when they have no internet :slight_smile: so they have to send their mac adresses from somewhere else which has internet connection.

2- Most of people getting trouble making the pppoe connection in windows.

So I thought hotspot would be wonderful for them but there is a problem. How can i make each of them connect to internet with different real ip from eachother while they have internet ips, if someone answer this question and find a solution, I will setup hotspot immediately. If i forget somethink to say pls warn me. Thanks in advance.

Just assign them public IPs via DHCP, set the address pool on the Hotspot to ‘none’ so you don’t waste addresses via the Universal NAT feature and don’t NAT them. Works fine.

Thank you for your answer but i guess we have to have internal ips because there are lan games they are playing and some lan servers we have and when i try to download a file via real ip from other user it use my internet bandwidth. is it a problem when you broadcast something like radio via real ip? I mean like broadcasting to 192.168.0.255 ?? if i create a lan game, can other people see and connect to that game ??
