Hi, I have a hotspot on MT 3.23, some users are using binding, some of them login page and user names and passwords. I tried to restrict some users for period of time (lets say for a night). For users connected via binding, it works fine with adding a rule to firewall, using address list with proper range of IP addreses. But this does not work for normal hotspot users using login page. Maybe my question could be more general: where I can put firewall rules for hotspot users? Thanks.
Ivan
The pre-hotspot NAT chain for web traffic and DNS as hotspot users flow through proxying hotspot servlets for those services. You can accept those IP ranges there and then drop in the firewalln it might make more sense to have scheduled scripts that disable/enable those user accounts and at the same time log them out, tho. Exact steps for that have been posted to this forum several timed so a search should bring them up.
