Hotspot System questions

Hi There,

I’ve some problems with a running Hotspot system I build for a hotel:

A “RB3011UiAS” is the Main-Router, CAPsMAN and HotspotServer with Trial- Login
There are 17x “wAP ac” connected
All bridged together in the Main-RB + bridge horizon (no local forwarding!)

  • Sometimes the RB3011 reboots but I don’t know why → Any idea how to analyse this?
  • I’ve installed the DUDE on the same RB but it’s not connecting to the ROS. Maybe the Firewall rules are blockin but to which interface do I need to connect the DUDE? 127.0.0.1?
  • Only Trial login is activated → Why do the clients get the popup page when they left the wifi for some minutes and reconnect? Is there any solution that they were recognized by MAC?
  • Need to connect some Apple- TVs to the Hotelrooms. How do I create a static hotspot- user without any limits for these devices?

    Create a supout.rif on reboot, then forward to MikroTik for analysis

    FW rules could be an issue, but the local address should work

    If you dont want them to have to login everytime they disconnect, enable cookies.

  • Need to connect some Apple- TVs to the Hotelrooms. How do I create a static hotspot- user without any limits for these devices?
    This is achieved using the hotspot binding function.
