When I enable hotspot on local interface I can’t use winbox on this interface ( from local network)

ofcourse, quick solution is you must login with valid id first from 'Hotspot login page' than winbox tool to connect to.. or you have other subnet for that interfaces.

I have the same problem i cant log into the mt server after ive logged in .Im using ver 2.97 and the old machine was 2.71 i used ip 192.168.100.1:8081 what do i use now after the ip address of 192.168.100.1??? on the new server?

It should be the address on the connected interface.
2.9 version allows to use MAC-Winbox(Telnet) to access Mikrotik router. Download the latest Winbox from http://demo2.mt.lv, push the button ‘…’ to discover the network, router should be present on this list. Select the particular router and connect.
