hotspot with two cards and antennas

Hi!

I have a hotspot with RB133 and one R52H card, RADIUS authentication. It works, but now I’d like to add another card and antenna, to serve a different location, also with hotspot. (~5m cable run to the second antenna, one floor above, where the signal of the first antenna is weak )

How can I configure this?

Someone told me I have to create a second hotspot, with the profile of the first, but then the second hotspot becomes ‘Invalid’, and I don’t know why.

I then tried to set different IP addresses to the cards, different DHCP address pools, then the Invalid sign disappeared, but now none of the two hotspots are working.

The first one accepts connections, but the login page is not displayed, while the second card sometimes accepts connections, but it doesn’t provide DHCP to the client.

How can I configure this ‘dual’ hotspot properly? What makes a hotspot ‘invalid’?

create a bridge on the MT.

do the hotspot on the bridge instead of the interface.

then add whatever interfaces you want to the bridge.

(i.e. wlan1 and wlan2)

should work fine.

Hi!

I tried this, but it doesn’t work this way. Could not get IP address with DHCP, when connecting to any of the interfaces.
