(some ISP or companies will use PPoE or even L2TP/PPTP for same reasons at huge overhead and fragmentation expenses, just because they already know “how to deploy it”. but its make not much sense).
optional things like 802.11AE/802.11AR can be handy too, and since as we’re can see MikroTik start using MacSec and PortSec -compliant PHY chips, they may be supported too, which is beneficiary for customers too.
