How big real bandwidth do you get?

How big real traffic you can get using two simple outdoor routerboards integrated with antennas? Is it possible to transmit symetric 20Mbps/20Mbps with not so big pps? I think about link about 800 meters.

Thanks for the answers,
Best regards.

On 2.4GHz-G-Turbo/Soft.N-Stream (extra channel)
ca. 13/13Mbps real traffic
can be more

and 5Ghz … really more

Cheers

get a 532, put 2 CM9 radio’s in it, set the board to 333mhz and enable NStream Dual, use some 15-19dbi panel antennas and set your output power accordingly so your receive signal strength (on both sides of the link) is as close to -60 as you can manage (but no stronger then that, you don’t want to burn out your radios)

I don’t know exactly what throughput you’ll get using a RB532, the CPU is a little lacking compared to a PC, but the radio’s will be good for 40mbps full duplex in this setting. I would expect the CPU on the 532 to max out around 15-20mbps.

if you need more throughput, get a cheap 1ghz or greater PC for each side and install a minipci to pci adapter, and throw in both radio’s, and set it up accordingly. then you will be able to acheive a full 40mbps full duplex across the link.

note, I would not do this if you absolutly require anything more then 30mbps, the last 10mbps is a little less reliable…

Where is the reply with the bandwidth test in this thread gone??
