I need to take my backup from router but I didn’t remember admin password. It it possible that with connecting via serial port or etc. I can not reset and configure it again because of it has so many user account inside. Anyway, are there any solution for take backup? JTag, Com Port, Ethernet, vs. vs. I found a way which is making brute force attack but it will take so long time, I remember that my password is min 10 char.

RouterOS does not provide any password recovery procedure - which I consider a feature, not a bug.

Wow. Pretty nice reading. Even it seems for me that reset and new settings of mikrotik is easier, I am impressed. On the other side I would like to read frankly statement that mikrotik stuff had read this article many years ago and it is impossible to decrypt the passwords in such way at least since version 5.
Normaly I don’t need the password. Just needs settings. Maybe taking setting is possible.
