Pls I urgently need solution. I want to configure two of the ethernet port on the mikrotik routerboard(any of the mikrotik routerboard that can do this) as WAN ports. so I can connect two internet gateway(modem) to them. This is to create a redundant link in a way that if one link is down for any reason the other one takes over automatically. So that there will be no down time yet I am using the same routerboard as a router on my network.
OR if there is any other suggestion or technical advice on this project pls it is highly welcomed
hey esto im not a mikrotik expert but im trying to help you, i tested this guide to my box and it works
i think you need this >>>>> Standard Policy-Based Routing with Failover http://www.mikrotik.com/testdocs/ros/2.9/ip/route.php
thanks
Thanks very much iwantlemonjuice, i’ve checked the webpage. Pls i’m not an expert as well you said you’ve done this and it works for you. Pls help me with step by step aproach to do this.
For instance i know i will route it through the two gateways ip, configure two ports with public ip and, possibly bridge remaining Lan ports and give it local ip. How do i apply NAT to masqurade the local ip when my source add. are now two?
Now after doing this, is that all i need to do? Pls help me out.
