I am new to dude and am trying to limit the service discovery to just ping. I find that even after I go into a device and remove the services I don’t want discovered it still rediscovers those services on the next polling period. What can I do to limit the services being polled?

Click on the main Settings in the top left, select the discover tab, uncheck every service you do not want to automatically discover. While your in there uncheck any device types you don’t want to discover.
Or turn off discover if you don’t need to discover any more.
Tried that (services and devices) Also came to realize that each time it polls it recreates ‘links’.
I expect to have to recreate my dude network as I am having all sorts of weird issues as well. IE new maps hanging on loading. (I’ve been through the forum as other people have had similar issues.)
On my next creation though I will turn off discovery, create links on discovery, services and devices as I build. This map was my first foray in so I’m sure I must have goofed it good somewhere.

Yeah I just built the map manually and don’t auto discover anything but it really depends on what you want from your design.
As far as anything getting stuck loading you can always try deleting and then undo the delete, usually clears things up. Just make sure you backup your XML and use another method for backup as well like copying the folder.
