This my solution
Mikrtoik ---- switch — access pint (model alvarion Ds11) (mode:ap)----------Access point(model edimax 7206)(mode: infrastructure)----computer for end user
I see in mikrtotik mac address of access point not mac address of computer
How can I do that
When I do access point edimax wds I see mac address of computer but I cant access it in remote and I cant ping to access point
you have two other devices in between, RouterOS has no control over the MAC addresses on the clients unless your two alvarion devices can somehow solve this.
Hi I had exactly the same problem as you have , your problem is on the Access point(model edimax 7206) , its been used as a “client” and the unit is NOT “mac transparent”. I have tested a few access points as clients and found that some of the old units are mac transparent the new models are not . So all you need to do is find a Dlink DWL-900AP+ or a DWL-2000AP+ and its works fine , at least for me it did and does .
Ps: you are wrong normis its not the configuration but the chipset on the ap , in this case edimax
