How can I stop snmp checks?

I have many devices outside a firewall, witch i want to check via ping (only to see, if the are alive), and wether i can reach them. Not all devices respond to snmp (eg. a firewall of my fried) and so i’m looking for a way to stop snmp queries for those devices.
Is there any way to do this in Dude? Thanks for any idea or help.

Enter device settings and select the services tab. Deselect the services that you don’t want to probe.

Yes, i tried this 2 days ago, but when i look to my firewall-logs, i see that Dude still sends often SNMP Requests to the devices ( udp 161 outgoing packages).
So what i am missing: Under Device settings at folder general a possibility to deselect any Snmp doings for a device.
For the moment i must delete this kind of devices from map, but i like to check my external devices with ping, dns, smtp and web only all 60 Minutes. The configuration in folder serives is fine and not my problem as described above. On other hand devices without any automatic checks configured is allso very usefull to have that external devices on map, because of the easy way with right mouse-klick on device, Tools … to check or connect to devices on demand with only 2 klicks.
Anyway, thanks for the tip, but it does not fit my reqest. Any other idea?

Perhaps autodiscovery is scheduled?

seems you cant turn off snmp requests on dude… since you add a device with an IP, there will always have snmp requests to that ip address.

So, autodiscovery is off. But it is right, after adding a device there will be allways snmp requests.

It would be nice, if in future releases of Dude there will be a checkbox to disable snmp requests for some devices.

Meantime i had to reconfigure my firewall to drop all snmp reqests for devices not responding :frowning:

in future versions we will add SNMP profile - ‘no snmp’ that will completely
disable snmp requests to device
