I just talked the Mesh Dynamics for a project we have to do and the price on the nodes is mind blowing $3,000 each.
The have 2 5.8 400mW MiniPCI cards and 1 2.4 400mW MiniPCI card.
They are a bridged system so there with the ability to send traffic another way if it’s upstream goes down.
Can I do this with Mikrotik are something close?
Or is the only solution to go with the Mesh system?
Odd that they can make 3 of the 400mW cards work fine in their systems!!!

You can configure Mikrotik in a mesh topology, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are CCIE or equivalent hot shit at routing. That said, a well engineered Mikrotik system using all multi-radio boxes with P-P linking is going to blow the doors off anything from Mesh Dynamics.
your only challenge is powering 3x400mW cards in one box.. I don’t believe the RB500’s support anything more than 2x400mW cards at most (due to power constraints). So now your getting into custom hardware..
