How connect to a Bridgged modem with a Hex ?

Hi,

I can pass my ISP modem in a Bridgged mode, to do so I have to enter the MAC of the interface that is connected to the ISP modem.

/interface print

So far no problem, but when I do so, I loss the connect to the WWW The ISP do not explain more.. I suppose I have to use a PPPoE client ?

is the Hex are capable of such ?

Thanks.

What ISP do you have? Not any information on their site about running a modem in bridge mode?
In regards to PPPoE:

Thank you @erlinden

no, I didn’t find any info… I will write them today, but I have little hope..

My ISP is MoblieViking that actually use the Proximus infrastructure and end user hardware…

Thanks for the link , I’ll check that.

Have you tried their help ?

https://support.mobilevikings.be/hc/en-us/articles/15963730456081-How-can-I-configure-my-modem-in-bridge-mode

Clearly stated: ppp needed (for bbox3)
you should probably copy your current ppp config before switching

Thank you @Sebastia !

I did a search in their help, but no result returned, but I guess It was a technical problem at the time.. they use a lot of external library to run their website…

So I’ve checked the two link you found ( again thanks )

So for the configuration of the PPPoE they seem to not give a lot of details…
But indeed on the post regarding the fritzboz they say ~“You can request the credentials by contact us”

So i’ll try to reach them… (finger cross)
